I will post pictures (if I can get them to stand still and let me get close enough) of my two girls that I bought as silver-laced Wyandottes from TSC back in April. After posting in another thread and really thinking about my supposed SLW in comparison to the two GLW I have, I realized that either a) my girls are just really bad specimens of SLW, or b) they are not SLW at all but possibly silver spangled Hamburgs? They are much smaller birds overall from the GLW girls I bought at the same time. Their profile/silhouette isn't even close to the same...the GLW girls are big and full and fluffy, where the other ones that are supposed to be SLW are much smaller in stature and not nearly as 'round'. Is this even possible? I think TSC gets their birds from Hoover's, but I didn't see that hoover's offers this breed, but it may just be that they aren't currently offering it? Or did I just get some really poor genetics with my two SLW girls? I will post pictures, but interested in other folks' thoughts on this?
The chickens are white with black spots, starting at the neck as very close together spots and the spotting fans out a bit as you get to their tails. Tail feathers are primarily white with big black spots.
