"de-worming" isn't a one time thing..
if they free range or forage in the yard, they either need to be checked for worms (fecal samples to vet)
or most people just worm a couple times a year.
some droppings, that are dark and messy, (sometimes other colors)
that happen a few times a day are called "cecal droppings"..normal.
