I guess so... I tried my best to keep her safe and thought things were going well.That’s been my thinking as well. I guess that if they are too much “in the zone“ on their nests then they may not leave in time when a predator comes...![]()

I’m so sorry for your loss. Chill sounds like he was a loyal companion to Sassy. Thank you much. Yes, I am currently incubating half her eggs. I sadly didn’t have enough room for the other half because my incubator already had some guinea, and a couple of call duck eggs in it... I’m not sure what to do with the others that I couldn’t fit...I am so sorry. My guinea Sassy had become broody and depressed when we took her eggs that she stopped even talking so finally we just let her and her mate Chill keep a nest. A fox came and took Chill when he was protecting Sassy and I felt so horrible. I couldn't even find so much as a feather pile but he was deeply in love with her and never left her side. I am so sorry that this happened to your girl. Can you incubate any of the eggs so you can have a part of her?
