I think my new mother hen is killing another hens chicks

Hi everyone, I have a bit of a situation. I have 29 chicks that are a month old with 2 hens(their mother's). I recently brought one of our staffs hens with 4 chicks and put them in the same coop. My problem now is that 2 chicks have mysteriously died I suspect that the new hen with baby chicks could have killed them. Is that a possibility that she could have killed them? The new chicks are only 5 days old and their mother is very protective she even bullies the older chicks mothers a bit.

I would say yes if the new hen thought that the chicks were a threat or were stealing food from her chicks. I would suggest separating her from the rest
