I am not sure if this is where I post, but I just hatched some Buff Brahmas and Buff Brahma RIR cross. I wanted to post pics where some folks might appreciate seeing chickens! Anyone else got friends and family who could care less as long as they get the eggs? 
Our BB rooster was killed 4 weeks before we incubated his eggs. We noticed using the eggs daily that most were still fertilized, so, the eggs we got from our chickens on the fourth day of the 4th week we put in the incubator. We had some Golden Comet eggs in the bator, just for fun (we eat chickens), but as I suspected they were not fertilized. The GC gals did not appreciate our rooster's, Brahma Kahn's, advances. All 5 of our BB and one BBxRIR egg hatched last night!
The light colored gal I believe is our BB rooster x RIR hen baby. The darkest one, I am sure couldn't be anything but a BB chic, but I have never seen one so dark. All the other three look exactly the same. All have fluffy feet. The BB x RIR chick is the spunkiest.
Edited: Sorry about my clumsy posting, I am new at this. Also, don't mind my teenage son's hands, but where else do you put chicks for cute pics in the warm sun?
