I *think* we're getting a maran next sunday!

I'm SUPER excited! What do you think we should name her (please vote)? I'm open to other suggestions too She's a black copper maran, and is going to be 8 weeks old!

Any Maran advice/tips will be greatly appreciated? Do they go broody? Are the quiet? Freindly? Good egg layers?

I am excited for you too I ordered chicks and will be getting a cuckoo maran in June!!! I can't wait. My daughter thinks you should name yours Chocobutter but my son says Hazelnut!! Good luck

I have 1 out of 3 Marans hens that goes broody a lot. She's my only hen that does. I'm raising a few more, so it will be interesting to see if any of the others get broody too.
