I thought he was a hen!

I thought I had 3 hens, but one of them seems to be a rooster. I don't want baby chicks! I am sad because I need to find him a new home. I've heard that hens can sometimes take on male characteristics. Simone, or now Simon, is trying to crow and mount the other hens. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Brenda.

If you don't want chicks, don't incubate or allow your hens to sit on the eggs. Collect them daily, no worries. Simple as that. Good luck.
