mirrors?
I put one in my brooder and my keets looked at it and walked away. It has been in there 2 weeks and they are never paying any attention to it. I peek in all day long to see if I can catch them at it but they are usually playing with grass or flying around the roosting bars or doing anything but looking in that mirror. It is head high for them, if not a bit lower. It is near their water container so they know it is there. I have cleaned it a time or two to make sure they get a good reflection but so far the Brahma chicks have looked in it more than the keets and that isn't much.

Usually the mirrors help the small numbers of lonely noisy peeping keets feel like there are more of them in the brooder than there actually is, kind of acts like a security blanket to them and calms/quiets them... so maybe you have a brooder that's populated enough that they do not need the security blanket, lol. As adults they will seek out shiny things like car bumpers, windshields, big windows, sliding glass doors on your porch/deck (or your neighbors', lol) etc to admire their handsomeness and preen in front of tho

Now that I get.
My adult pair of Guineas found my car bumper and was fascinated by it!
I was just puzzled by the keets not caring for the mirror but with a good many in the brooder I understand why now.
Thanks!
