I wanna eat this, am I crazy?!?!?

The inner membrane is still intact but there is a little poo spot in and around the broken/cracked area. If I crack the egg open from the other side I can get to the goodies and bypass the poo. Am I nuts? These little things are like gold since this is our 7th egg ever. Our girls just started laying a few days ago! I hate that this one might have to be a dog treat!

I have ate eggs that were cracked already, didn't seem to have any ill effect.

I understand the whole "like gold" comment because our girls just started laying and then had to be on medication, so we have lots of lovely eggs that we can't even enjoy. (I've been blowing a lot of eggs.) But do you really want to chance eatting something that could potentially make you sick. I suppose you could eat it----you could cook and eat chicken poo if ya wanted----but it might make ya sick. Is it worth it?

You could try to wash it under some hot soapy dish water - or just crack it from the other side. I wouldn't worry about it harming you.
