Hi!
I am new to this group and am looking for advice and/or allies to change our current ordinance in Crystal, MN. It currently is illegal to have backyard chickens, but I think they should be allowed. It is allowed all around us, in Minneapolis, Robbinsdale, New Hope, and other cities around Minneapolis. I am running for Crystal City Council this year to raise awareness about this issue and many other issues. I don't know how many people are on this site from Minnesota, but if so feel free to contact me! I'd love advice for going about this and to know of other supporters in my area on this issue. I have a website, www.lauralibby.org. I have a lot to say about urban agriculture, but have a lot of other issues as well. I hope to learn how to get a reluctant city council to change it's mind and meet other chicken enthusiasts in my area!
