I was right! They must not have been Cornish x!

Yeah, no way they were Cornish X's at that size, no matter what you could have done to them. McMurray once sent me a leghorn instead of a Cornish X, but it was just one bird in a whole order.
 
The best way to tell cornish x from any other look-a-likes is by the activity of the chicks. Leghorns love to dart about and scratch--cornish x love to rest, eat and drink--oh yah--poop too. All DP chicks love to scratch and run about, too. Quite simple.
