The Chicks are 4 weeks old, will be 5 on Monday....and this one looks altogether different than the rest of the flock...his comb is bigger, redder and he seems to have longer legs...What do you think? Do I have a Rooster? He is very skittish and doesn't like us to catch him.

Actually, him being skittish could *potentially* be promising. It's not universal (because nothing is with chickens), but the bold, friendly males are very often the ones who become aggressive later on.

P.S. I learned with keeping parrot-type birds that it's a bad idea to let birds sit on your shoulder if they're big enough that their eyes are higher than yours. The Dominant Bird perches the highest.

Additionally, chickens peck anything shiny. This includes human eyes. Serious injury is possible. :eek:
