I wasn't sure where to post this, But can you clip a chickens nails?

I have 2 bantams. millie aracauna cross, I was wondering If I can clip their nails like with a dog nail clipper. there nails are growing crooked. I don't know if it hurts them or not, but it looks painful!

Yes, you can clip their nails. I clip mine when they grow too long.

How can you tell where their quick is? Is it like a dogs.

I just cliped a little away at a time, mine have black nails so it is hard to tell. I would guess that with lighter nails the quick would be easier to see.
