One of my bantam cochin girls doesn't seem to want to get off of her night perch - she sits there day and night when the others are all walking around, eating, and sitting on eggs.

If I lift her down, she will go straight over to the water and drink, and she eats too, but a few minutes later she is back up on her perch.

I'm worried that she will starve if I don't keep putting her on the ground, but I don't want to hurt her. Has anyone else had a chicken like this? I don't see any obvious signs of illness or injury.

Is she getting picked on by other birds?

i have one like that she is very nervous . i have to feed and water her by her self. the others pick on her.

I lifted her down today and sat down to watch and she does act nervous. None of the others went near her (but most of the other females are setting) and a roo approached her but didn't get close. She ate, drank quite a bit of water and then pooped and OMG it smelled awful, that would keep anyone from bothering her. I normally don't mind that kind of thing but it drove me away.

If she is afraid of the others, is there anything I can do to help her?

Thank you so much for your help.

i have not had no luck . i even got some smaller chickens and built her own coop . she is just happy by her self
