Ya we did that to prevent any mice from getting in, I have since screwed a 6-8" board on the inside to prevent bedding from being dragged out. I think this will prevent mice if we raise it.

You could unscrew the door hinges now and cut off the bottom....
....then not have to fight it for the rest of the winter.

I use sand for icy spots. Put it in a shaker bottle for easy application..

My run door gets iced in.I'm going to take it off, cut the bottom, raise the sill, and put the door back on. I plan to cut off about 3 or 4 inches. It's at the point now where I cannot get in.
