Hi, so I searched all the threads on Icelandics and there really aren't very many of them. I have two young Icelandic chicks and my question is regarding colouring.

Now, I do know that the presence of red in most chicken breeds indicates that the youngster is a male. However, the red on my Icelandics isn't very bright, but more of a brick colour. Can Icelandic pullets wear red? Aside from the size of their combs and the red accents, both appear to be quite girly :p

I have Icey chick colour questions too. These are my first four chicks from my small flock. I have a blue hen, a black hen with green sheen, a black hen with a brown head/neck and a white roo with blue/brown leakage. I know I have one blue hen chick and the yellow chick is a roo and looks like his dad did when he was little. But, the brown one I have questions about, does he/she look like she may come out speckled? I hope so, I also hope he/she is a she haha. The other question is about the other roo chick with the "doberman eyebrows" will he likely be blue as well? Thanks in advance for any help :)
