Been here a while and just now posting. Been learning and enjoying my flock. I have 16 RIR chickens and 10 Icelanics. Icelandics started laying about a month ago and the test hatch batch went in today. Live near Lincoln, Nebraska. Cross your fingers for me as I hope some hatch.

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

Oh Icelandics are such pretty birds!! Good luck with the hatch. And feel free to keep us updated here with pics!!

Great to have you aboard and we do welcome you to our flock!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided join to our flock. I'm envious.) I would love to have some Icelandics. Based on everything I've read about them, they must be the hardiest chickens on earth. Unfortunately they are rather rare and expensive and no one ships them to Hawaii where I currently live. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck with your Icelandics.

Welcome to BYC. How many of the Icelandic chicks and chickens do you have? We have four pens of them and I am planning to move roosters occasionally to get the most diversity from our small flock.
