I have two EE chicks One is golden brown with black (6 1/2 wk old) and the other is chestnut (reddish brown) with blue (gray) (6 wk old). Would love some opinions from experienced EE folks on gender. The third (mostly black) chick you see is 1/2 Ameraucana and 1/2 barred rock. Pretty sure that one is a pullet, so didn't add individual photo. They are panting with the 90+ heat here today. I'll try the forum upload tool to add the photos. Thank you.

I'm not an experienced EE folk but I hope my one week olds look like her when they get older. Very nice bird.

Both cockerels huh? Oh, that makes me sad. Thanks Gin, they both are beautiful, but I especially like the one with the blue/gray in the background feathers. Apparently both Bunnie (the gold one) and Expresso (the chestnut colored one) will be needing new homes very soon. I hatched Bunnie out from an egg given to me right out of the nest, and Expresso was hatched the same week from a local 4H elementary project. Oh well, they have been beautiful and fun.

I wouldnt be too quick to get rid of them. Ameracuanas/EE can take longer to develop their red combs then other breeds.
Their tails look rounded to me and they don't seem to stand up like a Roo.

You will know if they crow!!!

I'm hoping if I wish hard enough they will be pullets. Bunnie came from the biggest sky blue egg I have ever seen, so I was planning on great things from her/him? Maybe I won't give up yet. Thank you.

I think the red and blue one looks like a pullet and the gold and black one looks like a roo.

They are beautiful!!
