My name is Nika and I live on a suburban (1/5 acre) lot with my husband, dogs, cats and veggie garden. I've caught the bug to get some chickens, and found that city ordinance allows 3 hens.
I am educating myself and mentally drawing up plans to convert a 3.5'x9' storage "closet" in the back of our shop into a chicken coop. There will be a 5x15' run between the shop and the property line fence, with a second, larger run to be added later. Convincing DH might be my biggest hurdle.
This is a great board, and I've been lurking and learning a lot over the past week. I'm sure I'll have questions as I get going with this new venture.
