Ideal chicken coop/run - your ideas and opinions?

Someday (in the distant future...), I want to make a really nice, big run and coop for my chickens. And fill it with some of my favourites: ducks, Orpingtons, Quail, Wyandottes, Silkies, Silver-Spangled Hamburgs...

In your mind, what are features for the best/ideal poultry run and coop? Any creative ideas for things like fencing, location, laying areas, feeding/watering, coop and run size/design, etc.? What about separating different breeds in hatching time (are there things I could do in a coop/run design to make it more efficient)? Having chicks?

Any opinions and suggestions welcome! I'll write them down to use in the future!

I really love that setup. Wish I could do it. I would incorporate raised beds into it though.
