Ideal packing peanuts

Anyone know what breed Ideal is sending as packing peanuts?

I would guess those are Buff Orps, I've gotten those and RIR lately.

I just got my order from IDEAL this morning and got 16 packing peanuts for my 8 girls :/ they look almost identical to yours.

Mine are growing in white feathers so I assume they are either Cornish rocks or male gold sex links. Their feet range in color from pinky orange yellow to having some with shades of blue or green like Easter Eggers.

I agree with Kelsie2290. Those look like Buff Orpingtons. Ideal and other hatcheries will send whatever breed of cockerels they have an excess of (after filling pullet orders) as packing peanuts, so I would start planning to re-home them.

If you don't want the packing peanuts, for a small fee Ideal won't send any. That's what I did. I did order 20 chicks which is pretty close to the 25 they need to fill a quarter box.
