ideas for an area to seperate

i need to seperate i rooster but not sure of what to build i would later like to use it for a place for a hen to set how much space any ideas something fairly cheap and convient

Use a pet carrier.

My boys are going in these now that I can build them quicker. We have 3 so far and I made the other 2 better than this one with hardware cloth and a more covered top. Easy to move, won't blow over and I put about a ft of wire skirting around the bottom. Took me and DH only 3 hrs to build the last one. We did 3 in 2 weekends.
Cost $65, all new materials.
