Ideas for modifying LG incubator

Anyone have any experience modifying their Little Giant incubator? I’m tired of causing humidity spikes in lockdown from running out of water and needing to open it to fill the channels. Currently that’s my biggest pet peave. About it but I’m open to other suggestions on how to make this incubator better. Fan kit is already installed. I still need to find a way to secure the wires cause the chicks literally swing from them.

With my modifications I had 100% of my turkey poults hatch, and 95% of my chicks hatch:
I put in an extra thermometer and don't trust the supplied thermometer/ hygrometer at all.
I run it around 100', as said by my extra thermometer.
I took out the turner and I turn by hand twice a day. The turner seems to be messing things up too.
I don't use the "water well channels" at all, instead I put a little jar of water in there, during lockdown I put a sponge or rag in another container of water. I cover the bottom with paper towels.
I put in a computer fan that plugs in for a lot more circulation.

Thank you these seem like good ideas. Maybe I’ll try some of these before making more permanent modifications. Did you mount the fan?
