I've been really exploring a lot of idea about using composting as a heat source (I'm down to one sole survivor). Compost Furnaces, Contained Compost Piles with proper winterizing, Solar Heat Tubes and the like. She just doesn't generate enough heat on her own to make it a livable environment as I've seen her shaking a day here and there usually when the temps are in the teens, so she gets supplemental heat via a Cozy heater.
