Idiot question: What is "lockdown?"

After 18 days of incubation people put there eggs in "lockdown" to get ready for hatch. You raise the humidity, stop turning and dont open the bator until after the hatch.

Its a term we use to help people remember to not open the incubator the last 3 days.
