is it a rooster??? I have read that, but can't find where I read it at now.

Our chicks are 10 days old and some of them have larger legs than the others. I don't know what kind of chicks they are, so I have nothing to compare them to.

Just wondering if this is true or not.

I'm not an expert, but I would think this only works when comparing chicks of the same breed, and then it would only mean something if those thick legs accompany a large red comb.

Since you have a mixture that are only 10 days old, it would be difficult to tell. My black copper marans was always huge! Her legs were long and thick and I KNEW she was a boy from day one. I am happy to report that she is a fine looking pullet. Wait a while and see how they develop!
