If it's raining will hawks bother your chickens

It's raining where I live and I was wondering does rain stop hawks from hunting your chickens I have small chickens out and wanted to know thanks!

Nope, rain does not stop hawks. Keep an eye on your chickies.

Here in Kentucky it seems Hawks take advantage of overcast skies to hide their shadows and actually hunt longer because of it. I would be careful about free range without some protection.

You should be able to hear them coming.. They aren't the quietest hunter out there.

It almost seems as if they like to hunt on lightly raining, misty sort of days. I have rarely experienced a hawk attack during heavy rain.
