If there is signs of a little pecking, do I have to worry?

I just noticed that my cochin was missing from feathers from just over her eye. Just about a half inch patch. There was a tiny red spot. I dabbed some blue kote on it. Do you think she will be ok? Can I leave her with rest of the chickens tonight? It'll be dark in 30 minutes. What do you think triggered them to peck at her (that's what I am assuming happened). They are all 25 weeks and all grew up together.

Could she have scraped her eye area on anything sharp? I'd think it would be fine to leave her with them, especially in the dark. Tomorrow you could sit back and watch, to see if they're picking on her, or if they all seem to get along fine.

I'd think that, but the feathers were completely missing. She is bald in that patch. This stinks b/c I have to work tomorrow, so I can't watch except for a short time in the morning. The blue kote covers the bald patch. I wish I could find my pine tar b/c at least if they picked at that, it would taste bad.

I just wonder what caused them to peck her. I've never had a problem with them.
