Girls got moved to their new coop last night and I noticed that sweet Parsley is definitely thinner than the other 5. I handle all these girls regularly (except Rosemary, she's a maniac) and hadn't noticed any real weight loss. Last night on the roost everyone hunkered down to sleep except Parsley fell asleep quite literally on her feet so I know she's feeling a bit off. She has no other signs of illness. Nice pink comb, great appetite, normal poops, no discharge from eyes or nose, perfectly normal breathing. They get 20% medicated chick starter along with a bit of scratch and some high protein crumbles. They eat greens and bugs in their run. We give them treats like basil, oregano, purslane, and sweet clover. They get Save-a-Chick and "magic chicken water" added to their water every few days. We did have a run in with mites a couple weeks ago so as a precaution I dusted their little butts this morning. They are all 4 weeks old. Parsley is a mixed breed Sunnyside Rainbow Egger. Her and her "twin" sister Rosemary have always been the lightest ones but Parsley is bigger. Any advice? I really don't want to put antibiotics in the water as I don't see a huge reason to. I have oxytetracycline on hand. I'll give them some fresh oregano tonight.

I hope it's something small. She's been a little off since the mite incident but nothing to lose sleep over (but I will cuz that is how I am lol). Our weather lately has been INSANE. It's been a struggle to keep them warm/cool. It goes from 85 and miserably humid in the middle of the night all last week to this morning I woke up to 49 degrees. Been cool and chilly the last few days (thanks Wisconsin). I'm hoping with a little pampering she will perk back up. She holds her tail down and is a bit puffed most of them time but then will run around and eat and play like normal.
