Hi everyone, I have just started my chicken family. I currently have 2 cochin bantam hens and a rooster. They are quite the trio. Very loveable little guy's. I had bantams as a child but they weren't nearly as sweet as this guy's. I hope to eventually have mille fleur d'uccles, gold laced sebrights, polish bantam, and sultan bantam. And of course my cochin bantams.

Welcome, welcome to BYC!! Sounds like you have a happy flock of birds! I love Cochins!!

Make yourself at home here in the community! Be sure to check out the links below. Good luck also with your future flock! Sebrights are an awesome breed but take caution when owning them if you have limited space. I had to get rid of my two silver sebright hens because they were crowing like roosters and acting mean due to being confined. Mille fleur d'uccles are broody and friendly breeds whom you should enjoy raising! Polish and Sultans are also known to be docile and calm also! Good luck!!

Welcome to BYC!

Cochins are very pretty birds. So huggable and soft. LOL And the other breeds you are thinking of getting would make a very colorful flock.

Mountain Peeps has set you up with all the links to some great reads and lots of learning. Enjoy your flock and welcome to ours!

Thank you all for being so inviting. Here's some pics of my little family.

hennie pennie she just started laying. I don't have a pic of my second hen she is sitting on hennie pennie's nest.

She is my fav. out of the trio. She loves attention. And seems to have the most personality. She is the first to see what you mite have for her. And butt checks the other's to get to you. Gator will talk to you but still is a little shy. I have only had them for a couple days now. Monday.
I do plan to keep the breed's true. No crossing.
