I'm a quail grandparent! Update: #11 has hatched. :)

I have a friend who loves to incubate eggs. It's one of his most-loved hobbies. I gave him a dozen Coturnix eggs for a change of pace and so far 10 of the 12 have hatched!!!!

Of the remaining 2 eggs, one has a pip and the other is silent. I'm hoping they'll pop out soon, though.

The chicks that hatched this morning are in the brooder, alert and running amok. They're already interacting with us in the most adorable way. Dang, I think I've caught the hatching bug.

#11 has hatched out and is doing beautifully! Now we're waiting on #12 who's rocking and peeping!!!!

We'll have 100% hatch if s/he hatches.

All 12 have hatched and all are doing well. We have 8 Pharaoh and 4 A&M.
