I've visited this site pretty extensively this past year learning about how to properly care for chickens! This is my first ever flock and really my first time even being around chickens aside from some friends houses when I was younger. I have 2f jubilee orpingtons and 2m and 2f Millie fluer banties. Supposed to have 3 females but I got them when they were 3 weeks old and really only one looked like a roo at the time. I'm no chicken expert so I didn't question itwhen the lady met me with them, butnow I'm 100% sure there's 2 Roos in my flock. I love them all so they'll just have to be harmonious brothers with each other. (When they're not my JO will gostep on them and then they'll be nice) If they can't behave I'll find another home for one but until then they're all my babies! My JO are 16 weeks and my little banties are now 13 weeks and I must admit I'm very proud of them!! I've nothad any issues with anything with them so far and they love running as fast as they can when I yell "here chick chick chickies!!" For some tastes treats! They especially love mealworms! Along with my little dog. She's learned to patiently wait for them to get their fill and go behind them and clean the rest up lol! Gross! I've read some people start getting eggs from the JO in between 18-24 weeks so I'm starting to patiently await for the arrival of my first ever farm fresh eggs! There's really no questions I need to ask at this time that I'm aware of. This thread was just to introduce myself to the page and now I can start sharing my journey with my little chickies!
