I'm so excited to be hatching goslings again this year! I set 4 Sebastopol goose eggs on Monday 2/24/20 and I'm trying to decide if I should spray them as many goose incubation guides suggest, to increase egg weight loss through evaporation. I would be basing my decision to spray or not based on the air cell growth BUT a couple of them are so DIRTY! I keep picturing spraying these eggs washing the protective layer off and allowing the funk to get to the babies. I realize that all of the goose experts told me not to worry about the dirt and grim on the dirty goose eggs last year...but this year I'm looking at these eggs and two of them are way dirtier than any eggs I've hatched in the past. I also never sprayed the goose eggs that I hatched last year so I'm just looking for a little extra guidance from the goose masters again.
