I'm getting 4 runner eggs, but no one's setting...

and I don't have an incubator! What temp do they need for incubation? Can a heating pad work, or is that too dangerous to have on for the 31 days it takes?
I DID have a setting banty hen (chicken), but I guess she got over it - now she's out with the rest of the chickens. Any ideas, or should I just give up the idea for now?

most runners aren't so broody - some will start up, but not finish out. Can you borrow an incubator or let someone else's broody hen set them?
