I'm incubating at 103 degrees

i have been going in and out of 102 to 103 degrees and I was wondering is this ok

Hello and Welcome To BYC! You might want to post in the Incubating and Hatching Eggs forum www.backyardchickens.com/f/5/incubating-amp-hatching-eggs what sort of incubator are you using? You want to run a still air at about 102* so you aren't that far off that, a forced air (with a fan) you want to run at 99.5 so you would be high enough to cause problems for one of those.

Glad you could join the flock! Great a advice there for you from Kelsie on still and forced air incubators. Also have you calibrated your thermometer to make sure it's giving you a correct reading? Always a good idea to double check.

Day 18 for a small bantam egg and for standard fowl day 20. I usually have some pips at day 19.

oops I forgot to say for bantams(my first time ) but the largest chicken I have ever incubated was Colombian Plymouth rocks ( did extremely well )

Most small bantam eggs hatch a day or so earlier then standard chickens.

What day are your eggs on?
