I'm looking to get chickens allowed in the Village of Vicksburg MI

Does anyone have any advice to get this changed. I called today and they told me chickens weren't allowed. I'm super bummed as we just bought a house there!!! Please shoot me any advice you may have.

Did you ever get an update on this. My neighbors have chickens in their junky backyard, and they are smelling realllly nasty. They don't take care of them and their droppings are realllly rancid smelling, especially in the hot weather.
