Thank you everyone for your help! I will update a picture in a few weeks :) it is so exciting and hard to wait to see how these cute chicks turn out :) The lady who helped me did say it looked like a buff Orpington! No one was really sure.

I'm so glad you could join our community! You have an adorable little chick. To me, she appears to be a Red Sex-Link. She could also be a Buff Orpington or Production Red, but I think that Red Sex-Link is the most likely possiblity. If she is a Red Sex-Link, you'll really enjoy her! They have reputations for excellent egg production and good temperaments.

Good luck with your little chick and I hope you enjoy BYC as much as we do! Welcome to our flock.

Cute chick! It might be a Production Red, Buff Orpington, or Red Sex-link. You should know for sure as it gets older.
 
I would hope it's a buff Orpington! Red Sex-Links are great birds! But I do need cold weather birds, and was told all birds should be for cold weather :) I also have a new jersey Giant! I hear those are friendly good birds!?
