I am BlueMoon! I used to live by Lincoln City, OR, and had a flock of ten hens, pets. We got ten thinking that we would lose a few, but we built the coop really well and therfore had a few more hens than we had bargained for. It was a joy. When we moved, we had to leave them. :(
We moved to the Salish Sea region, and I waited a long time to get chickens again. (Can we get them yet? No. How about now? No! Can we get chickens soon? NO!!!)
But the time soon came, and I just finally got a flock of five chicks, 2 Buff Orpintons, (Sundance and Oracle) a Barnevelder, (Ozone) a Gold Wyandotte, (Eclipse) and a Gold Brabanter. (Thunderplume)
Right now, they are kind of terrified of me, but they are getting better at not dying whenever I put my hand in the brooder.
I am totally addicted to chickens, and love this site a lot. Allons-y!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you joined the flock! If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. All of us here at BYC have OCD (Obsessive Chicken Disorder) and very few of us are immune to "chicken math." :o) If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at https://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Welcome to the Backyard chickens flock, hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
