Hi! I'm Jerdean. I'm from the Philippines.
I have plenty of chickens. We started raising chickens 2 years ago. But it was not planned. We just bought a few so that there'll be some chicks to eat our pig's leftover feeds. And then they multiplied. Now we have more or less 50 chickens. The chicken breeds we have are what they call as "Kabir" and the native chicken which I think is not really native because they seem to be bigger and we once had a rooster who was a mixture of a native and "Amercano." They say "Amercano" is a bigger breed than what we call as native chicken or "manok bisaya" and that they're an imported breed. Manok= chicken, Bisaya = Cebu. I do not know if they came from America that's why people here call them Amercano (American) or if they're Americauna.
I join BackyardChickens because I want to know more about chickens.
Like if a Kabir chicken is mixed with a native chicken, what is it called?
I have 2 dogs and 2 cats.
Thanks
