Hi All,
I am not new to chickens or backyard chickens, just new to posting. I have raised a few chickens over the past many years (not revealing my age). My chickens are truly free range and for the enjoyment of raising and eating their eggs. I have had Rhode island Reds and a few others I don’t’ recall. Currently I have been raising Golden Sex Links. My new favorite. Unfortunately a coyote wiped out my flock last spring and I said never again. But I missed having chickens and recently bought two Isa Brown Hybrids. I have a border collie that would love to get his paws on my new chickens so we are training him to stay clear. We also have ducks that my border collie has learned to keep back and stay down when they are in the vicinity. However he can’t resist chasing the turtle in the pond. Fortunately he doesn’t like water so only goes knee deep and the turtle always gets away. I think the turtle is in on the game.
