(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

• I'm brand new! Just brought my first three home on Thursday!... And my fourth on Friday! Chicken math, ya'll.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

• Four almost month old babies!

(3) What breeds do you have?

• Plymouth Barred Rock (LuLu), Rhode Island Red (Bumble Bee aka Bee), and 2 Ameraucanas (Cleopatra aka Cleo and Figgy). In the picture, Cleo is on the ground (she's still warming up to us) and Figgy is on my shoulder! LuLu is on my arm and Bee is on my knee

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

• It's pretty fun so far! They are hilarious to watch

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

• Reading, starting to get into gardening, yoga, video games...

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

• We have 3 kids: Victoria is 12, Dillon is 11 and Ronan is 4. We have a 4 year old Border Collie mix rescue (Fen) and a cat who chose us (Tiger). I'm a sped teacher at a high school which is where I got our new chickens! They do a unit every year and when it's over, the chickens need a home!

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

• Lots of googling and reading up before bringing the babies home... So about a month? And I love reading the forums
