Hi! I'm new to to this site and thought I'd do an intro. I've had chickens for about 3 years. I started hatching them in my classroom 3 years ago and and fell in love. I have since left the classroom to be an Educational Diagnostician but I still have my chickens. I have 3 currently. We just added 2 more yesterday because one of our original hens passed away. I have 2, 7 week old Buff Orpingtons and 1 cross bred Red Sex Link and Rhode Island Red. I found this site while doing some chicken research and it has a lot of information and helpful people. When I'm not chasing chickens I enjoy reading, movies, musicals/theatre, stitching, gardening, and traveling . I am married and it will be 7 years this August. We are big animal lovers and have lots of fur babies. We have 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs. No human babies. My husband works for Child Protective Services so we both spend a lot of our time with children all day. It is nice to come home to our animals. Thanks for listening! ☺

Wow! you truly are a chicken lover and also someone who cares about other beings! It is so nice that someone like your self truly care about all animals! I wish you much success in and caring for all animals. Your chickens will only grow on you and ad happiness in your life. It always seems that owning chickens shows the true care of a person. I wish you much happiness in your need for other animals. Just remember all chickens are truly special and need special attention and love that sounds like you are willing to give. I myself have always been a huge animal lover and do volunteer work to help all animals in need. Thank you for being so kind! we need more people like your self to help wild life. God bless to you!
