hello All in the Atlanta area.

i'm new to BYC and need some help.

this summer i acquired five supposed hens, and one turned out to be an Americana rooster.
he is an absolutely beautiful bird, with a very strong voice.
but, i cannot keep him in the city.

i need to find him a new home, and soon. can anyone help?

thanks.

Hi James, sorry you have to give up your rooster. Once you have 20 posts, there is a free re-homing section under the buy-sell-trade that you can use.

Hope you find him a good home soon. Best wishes!

Welcome to BYC, James! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

Yes definitely check out the suggested link by @N F C . You might also want to look around your state's thread to see if there is anyone near you who is wanting a rooster.

Best of luck to you and, again, welcome to the flock.

Welcome!

Sorry that you are not able to keep your little man.

As you already have some great links, I will just add that I hope you enjoy BYC. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends
