Hi everyone! This spring my husband decided to get turkey fever and we ended up get 16 turkeys that were all about 3-4 days old. I have 2 dogs, and 3 little girls and I get the pleasure of staying home to take care of all my babies feathered and fur included. So we are down to 13 turkey cause they picked on each other. They are all about 4 weeks now and starting to loose their baby feathers. We try and hold them every day, so as they grow they still like the attention. For now they are in a small ish coop in my garage till they fully feather. Then we start work on Godzilla coop in a month. I can't wait to see how they grow and all the personalities they swam to have already.

When birds are overcrowded and bored, they tend to peck at each other - so they need more space and some things to do. You may want to post on the "Turkey thread," because I am not sure what they are allowed to eat apart from their turkey feed.etc. Chickens like to go after a head of cabbage suspended just above their heads so they have to jump up to eat some. This also gives them exercise.
