Hi All,
I'm Tazz and a novice chicken owner in Belgium. I wanted to sign up to thank you all for this wonderful resource. Your tips and tricks have been really helpful. I used the advice of putting up cardboard to keep them from sleeping in the nests, and of putting them in the coop each night (after 3 nights, she went in by herself. Yay!!) and more.
I have 4 chickens, got them a few weeks ago. I have a Red Star, another hybrid that looks like a Rhode Island Red, a Maline and a Pearlgray Cochin. Only the hybrids are laying now. My husband convinced me to get chickens and I'm really surprised how much I love it :) They are so funny and cute.
Here is a pic of my flock.

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us and for sharing your a pic of your flock.

Here’s a link to the Articles section - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/ There you’ll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping chickens - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs.

There’s a link on the page above to the Learning Centre - it’s a great resource. If you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archive

Sadly, there's no country thread for Belgium, but there's quite a few members that live on mainland Europe. Maybe you could begin a thread for them?

All the best
