I'm out of control! Rabbit #5!

Awww!! My first bunny was a lop named Repunzel... Although I think she was actually a he

I got her at the local fair. There was a spinning wheel, and I put my money on a number, and off the wheel went... Stopped on my #!!! My parents had seen that game, and figured I'd never win it, boy were they wrong!

My second rabbit was another lop named Mocha... He HATED my Mom - he'd bite her every chance he got

Ok, probably not funny to most, but my family has a strange sense of humor

What a little sweetie! We have only 1 bunny here, he is my 21 y/o daughter's. Bunnies are really cute. Is he/she a Rex? I love their super soft fur. Have fun now.......

I'm guessing she's a mini rex, Atwoods doesn't really know anything about the bunnies they sell. They had 3 different pens of them, there were some dark eyed whites, some blacks, and some black and white spotted. In this babies pen there were only three, they were the smallest (I'm guessing that's why they were separate). One black w/ normal hair, mine, and one that looked nearly identical to mine (littermate I'm guessing)!

Here are the others, I may have posted them before, I took new pics last night, but my computer died on me so I can share them right now!

This was the first I picked up, I was told she was an angora, but who knows, I do think she's part atleast because she has tufts of hair between her ears. As she's growing she's getting more fluffy!

19hhbelgian I bet your parents were shocked when you actually won!! When I was a kid I was at the fair and saw a girl win a bunny, I spent the next hour at that game trying to win one to. Never did and probably could have bought one for the money I spent! I did once win an iguana though!

I think she's a mini rex too, she is so pretty! I had a pair of broken tort mini rexes, named Romeo and Juliette. Sadly, Juliette broke her back in her pen, so I sold all my rabbits

It didn't help any that my dad thought it was my place to buy feed for ALL the rabbits...his 6 New Zealands, and my 6 mini rexes!! Not even comparable!!

The only other named rabbit was a REW mini rex doe, that my 4 y/o named "Jessie".

Just what is the average life span of a rabbit? We had 3 when I was a kid but my step dad gave them away because he insisted that we feed them and they be fed at 6:00 am. Well that and the all girl clan wasn't all girls. Where we live now it gets freezing cold in the winter so we couldn't have a hutch like the one when I was growing up. How do you keep them warm in winter. Do you move them into a shed or something?

It's hard when you lose one, and really not fair to have to provide for someone else (especially when they eat more). I had one rabbit before these, she got out of her pen and a dog got her.

I don't know the average life span. I may not be the one to ask, my last girl was wintered in the garage, but it doesn't really get that cold here. These girls are living in a little building I have turned to a rabbit house! It will be easy to heat if needed!
