I'm so excited!

I finally found some d'uccles! They are the cutest chicks I have ever seen! I will have to try and get some pics of them. I got 3 porcelain, 1 lavender, and 1 buff colored - not sure what that one will turn out to be. I also got 3 more EE's. The chick count is now at 35 (I think). That is not counting my existing flock. I only planned on getting 6-8.

I adore our d'Uccles! We have millefleurs; they're hatchery stock, nothing show-quality, but they're so pretty and lively. Right now three of the mature hens are broody and a fourth has been debating over whether or not to set. Congratulations on yours!

. . . and KWYM about going in with the intention of buying six chicks, and coming out with over thirty. That was me, two summers ago, when I went to the feed store in the middle of Chick Days and it was as bad as walking into a chocolate shop! ("I want one of those, and one of those, and oo! Three of those, please, and two of those, and one of those . . . .")
