Im so mad right now... possible Mareks

Sorry about your predicament and possible Mareks. It is always a risk bringing in a chicken from another person. Some people are just not all that bright about chickens and know nothing of diseases. It is good to quarantine new ones away from the others for 30 days, in case something like this happens. If you lose another bird, send the refrigerated body to your state vet for a necropsy and testing. There also are a few labs, such as vetdna (RAL) who will allow you to test your chicken with a trimmed toenail blood test, for Mareks. Here is a link for them:
https://www.vetdna.com/test-type/avian-bird
I would contact them in case any birds show symptoms in the future. It takes at least 3 weeks of exposure for a chicken to show symptoms.

Surely you don't want to contaminate that turkey farm?
I mean I know it would be hard to lose your flock, but ... you could start over at some point, couldn't you?
Think of the financial loss for that turkey farm you could potentially be responsible for ... and if it is AI, your flock will die anyway. But if you do the test, you could find out your flock is fine, and put your mind at rest. And even better, find out what IS killing your birds so you can treat the rest of them and save them. Please consider it. It might not be AI at all.
