So my handsome rooster is less than a year old but he’s been charging me so I think it’s time to call it. I’ve gotten to where I don’t like going into the pen to collect eggs or feed and water. Im worried about how this is going to affect my girls. We have 20 hens. Do y’all have any advice. Just a heads up I normally go in alone or my 5 year old comes so I can’t have an aggressive rooster coming at us.

definitely right choice. No truer words have been spoken: The meaner the roo, the sweeter the stew. I had a bad rooster, so I totally understand what you are going through. Your dinner table will be very beautiful in a few days.

Hello. Just in case you might want to give your rooster another chance, cuddles and treats very often work! One of my roosters was aggresive, charging family and challenging me... I then started cuddled him often and gave him treats (tortillas and mealworms are his favorite) and he is once again the sweetest thing. He is a very beautiful roo. I hope that you may give yours another chance. Just trying to give a bit of advice. :D
