My chickens are about a year old this last spring. Is it normal for them too go weeks without laying a single egg? they have plenty of light and there is of course a heat lamp in there box. We r in Wyoming and in October temps have been dipping into 20s at night but they r well fed and plenty of fresh water and clean bedding. The only thing that i can think of thats out of the ordinary is that they r molting right now. Any imput is most helpful

Thank U From Wyoming

I've read on several posts that it's normal for chicken to stop laying while molting due to the stress of losing their feathers! I also read that you could give them a higher nutrition feed. Just type "molting" into the search there's tonnes of info on there!
